Luhrmann on Australia

For those of you who are fans of Baz Luhrmann, there’s a fairly interesting article in the Townsville Bulletin wherein Baz talks about his next project, AUSTRALIA, his expectations of it, and a bunch of other stuff as he prepares to begin shooting.

AUSTRALIA stars Nicole Kidman as an English aristocrat who inherits a sprawling ranch and finds herself having to form an alliance with a local cattle driver (HUGH JACKMAN) in order to withstand a take-over attempt. They do this by running 2,000 cattle across Australia, and end up experiencing the Japanese bombing of Darwin, only months after Pearl Harbour.
