M. Night Shyamalan is making a thriller series for Apple

SPLIT director M. Night Shyamalan's first television series, Wayward Pines, was only just officially cancelled, but Shyamalan is already moving on to another episodic endeavor. Alongside the news of Wayward Pines' cancellation is the news that Shyamalan is executive producing a psychological thriller series for Apple's streaming service.

Apple has ordered ten half-hour episodes of the series, which they're not sharing any plot details about. They're not even revealing the title yet, if the show has one at this point.

The series is being written by Tony Basgallop, whose credits include episodes of 24: Live Another Day and 24: Legacy.

In addition to executive producing the series with Ashwin Rajan, Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black, and Steve Tisch (with Taylor Latham serving as co-executive producer), Shyamalan will also be directing the first episode.

We'll keep you updated as more information is revealed about this show. With Shyamalan involved, it definitely has our attention.
