Looks like we’ll be getting some old school supernatural ass-kicking coming along our way courtesy of MAGDALENA. Pic is a co-production between Platinum Studios and Valhalla Motion Pictures, and according to Variety:
The story concerns a young woman named Patience who discovers she is part of a lineage of female warriors descended from Mary Magdalene. She must save the world from supernatural evil.
Not bad as premises go, thought it’ll be interesting to see if the concept elicits praise or picketing from the conservative faction of People With Too Much Time On Their Hands. The script by Kevin Taft will come from a Top Cow comic book.
Personally, I think it sounds like a lot of fun!
