Madsen, O’Neal, Titus, McCormick, and more join Rock Paper Dead

Last week, we learned that filming will soon begin on ROCK PAPER DEAD, a project that drew a lot of attention for the horror dream team behind the scenes: CHILD'S PLAY / FRIGHT NIGHT director Tom Holland is at the helm, working from a screenplay the original FRIDAY THE 13TH's Victor Miller wrote with Kerry Fleming. Harry Manfredini, who did the music for the majority of the FRIDAY THE 13TH films, will be composing the score, and veteran special effects artist Vincent J. Guastini, whose credits go back thirty years, will be providing the bloodshed.

Now it has been revealed that ROCK PAPER DEAD has some very noteworthy cast members as well, including a bunch of familiar names and faces. Among those who will be stepping in front of the camera for this one are the great Michael Madsen as Detective Doyle Deckert; Tatum O'Neal (who won an Academy Award at age 10 for PAPER MOON) as Dr. Evelyn Bauer; Jennifer Titus (pictured above), who has previously taken on the likes of SUPERGATOR and ZOOMBIES, as a character named Ashley Grant; Scream Queens' Anna Margaret; The Brady Bunch's Maureen McCormick (who will also be on the next season of Dancing with the Stars); Dee Wallace's daughter Gabrielle Stone (pictured below); and Luke Macfarlane as reformed serial killer Peter "The Doll Maker" Harris.

I'm excited to see this cast come together in a horror movie that, in the synopsis, sounds reminiscent of PSYCHO II… which was written by Holland. The story centers on

a serial killer, Peter “The Doll Maker” Harris, who returns to his ancestral family estate after being released from the state’s hospital for the criminally insane after twenty years – a “cured” man.  Once inside the old house, anguished memories from a tortured childhood and visitations from past victims shake Peter’s resolve, but it isn’t until the lovely young Ashley enters his life that Peter makes a fateful decision — one that rekindles old desires that have always ended in murder.

ROCK PAPER DEAD will be filming soon, aiming for a Halloween 2017 release.
