This past summer, we familiarized you all (here and here) with an upcoming mystical serial killer flick called MAGIC MAN. Back in July, the film scored a director, Stuart Cooper, and a pretty cool cast. Now, we finally have some official images (up top and down below)!
There’s nothing extremely outstanding thus far (other than one beautiful corpse, below). You can see ’em all by clicking here. Since MAGIC is only in its initial stages of shooting, I’m guessing we’ll be getting some much more interesting pics very soon. The plot is too cool for there not to be interesting pics. Have a look:
In order to see magic idol Krell Darius perform his world-famous magic act, a beautiful aspiring young-magician, Tatiana, travels from New York to Las Vegas with her closest friends, BFFs, Elena and Vera. As the layers of illusion unfold, so too do the dark windows into Tatiana’s past. The mystery finally leads to the decisive question: is the ultimate illusion magic, or murder?
Yes, it does call to mind THE PRESTIGE and THE ILLUSIONIST, but those were period-type pieces and not full-on genre action. I hope MAGIC MAN is looking to make some good old-fashioned gore and suspense appear. The script was written by Brent Huff. The list of stars includes: Billy Zane (as the magician), Alexander Nevsky, Estelle Raskin (as Tatiana), Armand Assante, Robert Davi, Bai Ling, Christina Vidal, Andrew Divoff, Sarah Jayne Jensen, and Richard Tyson.
