Man died last night watching Annabelle Comes Home

Recently writer-director Gary Dauberman's ANNABELLE COMES HOME hit a theater near you. And today we have some interesting news that a man in Thailand dropped dead in a cinema while watching the new fright flick. The story goes that after a screening of the film finished last night in Pattaya, Thailand, a woman was horrified to find the movie-goer sitting next to her was dead. True story.

The woman shouted for staff who rushed into the room and called emergency services who pronounced the 77-year-old British tourist – who was on vacation – dead inside the venue. His body was then covered, taken out a side door, and loaded into an ambulance. Police took the man's body to the hospital where an autopsy will be performed to figure out just how he died.

A resident named Monthira Phengrat who arrived at the cinema after the death said that guests were understandably 'very upset', adding: 

There were some people at the entrance talking with staff. They were in the cinema where the man died and they were very upset. They were shocked by what had happened. Some people had been sitting near the dead man. The cinema staff were very concerned and they tried to prevent anybody from seeing what was happening. We were prohibited from taking pictures.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Polpattham Thammachat said: 

Police were notified of the death at 8 pm inside the cinema in a shopping mall. From the preliminary investigation, it was not known how the foreign man had died but doctors will conduct an autopsy to establish the true cause of death. We are not looking for anybody else connected to the death. We do not believe there was suspicious foul play.
