How much do we really know about THE DARK KNIGHT RISES? Looking at what we have seen and heard, honestly it isn’t much.
While doing the promotional rounds for this weeks release CONTAGION, MTV caught up with TDKR star Marion Cotillard, where she confirmed a vital fact about her character.

Marion confirmed she’d be playing a new character and not one from the comic books.
“Well, actually, it was not based off of a character in the comic.” She promised that she was being 100% truthful.
She also added: “It’s amazing to work on Christopher Nolan’s set. I’m so happy that I’m working with him again. I could do tons of movies with him. It’s a huge project, but at the same time, it’s like a family crew. He’s worked with them for such a long time, so you really feel like you’re on a family set.”
THE DARK KNIGHT RISES hits July 20th next year. Directed by Christopher Nolan, Cotillard stars alongside Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Pence, Nestor Carbonell, Matthew Modine, Chris Ellis and Josh Stewart.
