Mark Wahlberg and Peter Berg reteam to bring Wonderland to Netflix

Sound the bells and plant your heels because Mark Wahlberg and Peter Berg are re-teaming for a new film project with Netflix entitled WONDERLAND, which is based on Robert B. Parker's critically-acclaimed detective novel series, Spenser. Now that the ball is rolling on the adaptation, we can share that Neal H. Moritz is producing via his Original Film studio, alongside Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson and Berg under his Film 44 label. In the past, the Spenser series has been written by both Robert B. Parker and later by Ace Atkins.

The Spenser book series follows a man fresh out of prison who is wrenched back into Boston’s underbelly while he uncovers the truth about a shocking murder. For those of you who are familiar with Wahlberg and Berg's collaborative efforts, you're likely to know that WONDERLAND marks their fifth project together after teaming for LONE SURVIVOR, DEEPWATER HORIZON, PATRIOT'S DAY, and the soon-to-be-released action film MILE 22.

WONDERLAND is being viewed by many as yet another top-tier get for Netflix, whose library of original content appears to be growing by the hour, every day. Not long ago, it was enough for the streamer to offer fresh TV-style content, but as of late, the service has been diving head-first into deep theatrical waters. There's no telling what Netflix will announce next as they secure more A-list actors to star and present new ideas, and we all stand to reap the benefits. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more information about WONDERLAND as it become available.
