So it seems the general public aren’t the only ones that openly expressed their disdain for M. Night Shyamalan’s THE HAPPENING. Apparently the star of the film realizes it was a bad decision as well!
While out promotiong his new film THE FIGHTER, Mark Wahlberg got to talking about his FIGHTER co-star Amy Adams and how he had recently had a chance to sit down with the actress to discuss another film… One about killer trees… Check it:
“We had actually had the luxury of having lunch before to talk about another movie and it was a bad movie that I did. She dodged the bullet. And then I was still able to … I don’t want to tell you what movie … alright “The Happening.” Fuck it. It is what it is. Fucking trees, man. The plants. Fuck it. You can’t blame me for not wanting to try to play a science teacher. At least I wasn’t playing a cop or a crook.”
Well that’s entertaining. Sure there’s no news here per-say but it’s always good to see more reason that Mark Wahlberg is awesome. Now all we need is M. Night to admit his wrongdoing and to give the public their much-deserved refund. I won’t hole my breath for that one…
