I have no idea why but it seems Mark Wahlberg keeps finding himself in our genre. First he rocked the house as the titular character in MAX PAYNE, then he followed that up with THE HAPPENING… which we won’t talk about. Most recently there’s been off and on rumors of him being offered the lead role in THE CROW reboot, rumors he quickly shot down, and here we are today with yet another genre project Wahlberg has his eyes on.
The project in question is a short film from director Ricardo De Montreuil called THE RAVEN, which Wahlberg and Steve Levinson will be producing for Universal. Justin Marks will be penning the script with the flick expected to be a starring vehicle for Wahlberg. Want some details? Of course you do!
Raven focused on a young man with powers being chased around downtown Los Angeles by robotic police drones, while a giant police ship coordinates the effort from the skies above.
