Marvel’s Inhumans synopsis crawls out of the terrigen mists and onto the web

Marvel Entertainment and ABC have officially released the synopsis for Marvel’s upcoming INHUMANS show and you can read all about it right here:

"After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself."

Hawaii? Really? I can honestly say that I did not see that coming. I was positive that Marvel's royal family would make first contact in New York or California for sure. Come to think of it, this move feels quite refreshing to me, a chance of pace, if you will. I wonder if Lockjaw will chase coconuts as opposed to rubber balls?

Moving right along, the cast for the series includes actors Anson Mount (HELL ON WHEELS) as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan (BALLERS, GRACELAND) as Queen Medusa, LOST's Ken Leung as Karnak, Iwan Rheon (GAME OF THRONES) as Maximus, Eme Ikwuakor (CONCUSSION) as Gorgon, Mike Moh (EMPIRE) as Triton, Sonya Balmores (SOUL SURFER) as Auran, Isabelle Cornish (PUBERTY BLUES) as Crystal, and Ellen Woglom (CALIFORNICATION, OUTLAWS).

Marvel's INHUMANS will be executively produced by Scott Buck (MARVEL'S IRON FIST) alongside Jeph Loeb (MARVEL'S DAREDEVIL, MARVEL'S JESSICA JONES, MARVEL'S LUCK CAGE) and Jim Chory, with Buck acting as the program's showrunner. Roel Reine (BLACK SAILS) will direct the first two episodes, which will receive a very special IMAX presentation as a part of the show's multi-faceted debut.

Recently, while speaking at the LA Screeings TV preview event, Disney Senior Vice President and General Manager of Disney Media Distribution, Mark Endemano declared, "I promise you, this is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before on television. It brings a richness and depth of storytelling." That certainly is a mighty amount of hype, Mr. Endemano. Let's hope that Marvel's INHUMANS can deliver on your promise, lest the fans eat you alive!
