Marvel’s Jessica Jones will return after being renewed for a third season

After a little more than a month after its debut on March 8, International Women’s Day, Netflix has announced that Marvel will be following the sophomore season of JESSICA JONES with a third series order featuring the studio's powerfully surly private investigator. The series, which features Krysten Ritter as the alcoholic superhero with a reluctant heart of gold, will pick up after the emotional events of the program's second season.

When last we left Ms. Jones, the punchy P.I. was recovering from a fight to regain elements of her past, while still being forced to confront the reality that people she loves have changed, drastically. Now that her battle with a super-powered familial figure has come to pass, Jessica will be left to pick up the pieces of her shattered heart, in addition to dealing with the ravaged parts of her fragile psyche.

In the past, JESSICA JONES has starred Ritter alongside Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth and Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse. There is no word yet as to who will return for the third chapter, though considering the way things were left at the close of Season 2, I think it's safe to assume that the main cast will return for at least a portion of the new episodes.

Are you pumped to know that JESSICA JONES is coming back? Have you hit a wall with regard to Marel's Netflix offerings? After all, we still have the second seasons of LUKE CAGE and IRON FIST coming down the pipeline as well. Let us know where you stand in the comments section below.
