Marvel Studios announced it would have a dedicated panel at San Diego Comic-Con for its animated projects on Friday, July 22, from 11:45 AM PT – 1:15 PM PT at Ballroom 20. This panel is in addition to the studio’s Saturday night presentation focusing on upcoming films and television projects.
Leading the 90-minute panel is Marvel Studios Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation Brad Winderbaum, Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding, and other special guests. The panel’s official description says the presentation will “dive into all things animation” with exclusive looks at X-Men 97, Marvel Zombies, What If…? Season 2, and more.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige previously confirmed the studio’s participation at this year’s show, saying, “Yeah, we’ll be at Comic-Con next month, which we’re excited about. The first time since we were on stage there [since] three years ago talking about this movie and many others. And now, I think almost everything we discussed three years ago has now been released. So yes, we’re excited to go and talk about the future.”
After three years of digital events, San Diego Comic-Con is returning to an in-person format. Several studios, celebrities, and vendors will make their way to the show to mark the occasion. JoBlo will also be there to cover the highlights, so make sure you watch this space for updates and exciting announcements.
Marvel Studios expects to bring plenty of surprises to Comic-Con, including information about the future of the MCU in theaters and on Disney+. Marvel Studios recently held a creator summit that served to plot the next ten years of content. I suspect we’ll be hearing plenty of tidbits from those meetings and will soon have a better idea of where the MCU is heading.
