Now, it’s time for another one!
On June 5th, a big-budget, live-action adaptation of the classic Masters of the Universe toy line and animated series will be reaching theatres – and The Asylum is cashing in on this event by setting a May 22nd digital release for their mockbuster Master of the Universe! The trailer can be seen in the embed above.
Directed by Marcel Walz (Shark Trash) from a screenplay by Marc Gottlieb (The Last Hail M.A.R.Y.), Master of the Universe has the following synopsis:
A young man must use his untapped powers to fight back against an evil alien and their army, who will stop at nothing to take over Earth and then the universe.
The cast includes Matthew Gademske (Transmorphers: Mech Beasts), Morgan Flanagan (Game Night: Survive the Slasher), Jay F. Krymis (My Deadly Affair), Antonio Valles (My Stretch of Texas Ground), and Telisha Johnson (Love Me Faithful).
That’s all we know about Master of the Universe at this time – but with the release date just three days away, we’re going to know a whole lot more about it very soon.
