Noah Centineo The Perfect Date

I'm not sure about the casting of Noah Centineo (pictured above) as He-Man in the upcoming cinematic reboot of the MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE property – nothing against the guy, I've seen a couple Netflix movies he has been in and liked his "young Mark Ruffalo" presence, he just doesn't fit the image of He-Man I have in mind. But I'd much rather get a MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE movie starring Centineo as He-Man than one written and directed by David S. Goyer, which is the direction we were heading in at one point.

The Goyer version of the film was supposed to be released on December 18, 2019, but the release was pushed back to "sometime in 2020" when Goyer left the helm. As it turns out, it was pushed so far back that it exited 2020 entirely and has landed on March 5, 2021 as the new release date.

MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE is set to be directed by BAND OF ROBBERS' Aaron and Adam Nee, who have written a new draft of the screenplay with IRON MAN's Matt Holloway and Art Marcum.

A Mattel Films production, MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE is

based on the highly successful He-Man toyline, which served as the basis for an animated TV series (1983-85) as well as a 1987 film. He-Man is the alter ego of Prince Adam, who uses the magical Power Sword to transform into a powerful warrior and battle the villainous Skeletor with the help of his allies Teela, Man-at-Arms, Orko and The Sorceress.

Goyer is still involved with the project as an executive producer.
