With McG (above) putting the finishing touches on his romantic-action flick THIS MEANS WAR, then going right in to pre-production on OUIJA for Universal and Platinum Dunes, it looks like the dude’s up for a little space travel not too far afterward!
Word is the TERMINATOR SALVATION director is attached to “space pitch” that he’ll produce and potentially direct for 20th Century Fox. The project is currently untitled, with roiled plot details, but it seems THE EXPENDABLES scribe Dave Callaham is onboard to pen the script. As McG normally does these days, the project will be an epic sci-fi adventure flick set somewhere in the cosmos.
Callaham, who will not reprise his duties for EXPENDABLES 2, also wrote DOOM, HORSEMEN and TELL TALE – flicks that all have some kind of genre bent. This, to me anyway, is encouraging for what he’ll have in store for this here untitled sci-fi project.
