Are you a big FRIDAY THE 13th fan who lives in the L.A. area and would like to go to an absolute asskicker of an event? Then you’re going to absolutely shit yourself when you read this: There’s going to be a “Jason Reunion” at the Dark Delicacies Bookstore in Burbank – on FEBRUARY 3rd – to celebrate the DVD release of HIS NAME WAS JASON. In addition, there will be another signing at Emerald Knights, also in Burbank.
What exactly do I mean? I mean every f*cking machete-wielding Jason EVER will be there. Warrington Gillette (F13 Part 2);
Richard Brooker (F13 Part 3);
Ted White (F13 Part 4);
Dick Weiand (F13 Part 5);
CJ Graham (F13 Part 6);
Kane Hodder (F13 Part 7 -10);
Derek Mears (F13 2009 Remake).
The only exclusion I can think of is the young fellow who played Jason in the first one. (Oh and let’s not forget that in Part 5, it’s Roy the paramedic causing all the mayhem – but he’s part of the history too!)
Hear it from the official press release: To celebrate the February 3rd release of the Anchor Bay Entertainment documentary HIS NAME WAS JASON 2-disc “Splatter Edition” DVD set, Burbank’s famed gothic book retailer Dark Delicacies will host a thirty guest DVD signing that night – including the first Los Angeles appearance of the actors who have portrayed the legendary masked serial killer Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th films! In addition, DD’s sister store, Emerald Knights, will handle some of the guests – all of whom appear on camera in HIS NAME WAS JASON – including the stars of the new 2009 theatrical remake coming out on Friday, February 13th!
