The only plot details we knew previously about DESPICABLE ME 3 was that Gru (Steve Carell) would have to contend with the likes of Balthazar Bratt (Trey Parker), a former child star who’s grown up to become obsessed with the character he played in the ‘80s. This trailer introduces us to an entirely new angle to the story, Gru's twin brother, Dru. Check out those flowing locks below!
DESPICABLE ME has never been my cup of tea, but at least I can say that they've introduced an interest plot element into the third entry. Well, more interesting than a villainous former child star, anyway. I'm curious to see how the plot with the villain will play out, now that Gru has a twin brother, but something tells me that teamwork is going to be the name of the game if they hope to stop Balthazar.
DESPICABLE ME 3 will open in theaters on June 30, 2017.
