Billed as the first horror feature funded by the victims, Asa Shumskas-Tait’s send up to Roger Corman and the great splatterhouse films of the 70s and 80s looks like ass-loads of fun. Oh, did I mention the shite is caked in gore?
Using “Crowdfunding” to finance the film, which means anyone willing and able to contribute as little as $20 dollars to the production of the film would be rewarded. Get this, rewarded with the ability to fulfill their most sadistic fantasies of being tortured and carved to death in a motion picture. Quite a concept!
But since the film is already in post, further details on the gimmicky financing wouldn’t really be of service. So let’s just dive head long into the deets of the film itself, including a gruesome promo teaser, a behind-the-scenes video, blood-soaked quads, and a killer (and I do mean killer) website for the flick. Don’t let the name fool you… Doctor is really more of an honorary title. She’s the sole survivor of the massacre at the asylum, and now this former doctor is loose in a hospital with dozens of potential victims to indulge her murderous urges. It’s Grey’s Anatomy with a serial murderer as the sexy and promiscuous young medical staff begin falling victim to Bonesaw’s blade.
