Melonie Diaz set for Greg McLean-directed The Belko Experiment

As promised, we have an update on the latest bit of casting news regarding the James Gunn-written and produced, THE BELKO EXPERIMENT, which will be directed by WOLF CREEK’s Greg McLean. It was only yesterday when we learned that both John Gallagher Jr. and Tony Goldwyn were set to star in the thriller, and now Gunn has announced via his Facebook page that FRUITVALE STATION actress Melonie Diaz has joined the ranks.

A little about her character: Dany is the new girl at Belko. It's her first day working in the building, and she really couldn't have chosen a worst first day, since this is the day the employees are all forced to either kill each other or be killed. (When I was nineteen I worked at Denny's. On my first day the manager pressured me into trying a Moons Over My Hammy. That was pretty bad, but not as bad as this.)

The film follows an…

American company in South America that is mysteriously sealed off at the beginning of a workday, and its employees are ordered to kill each other or be killed themselves. This starts an escalation of violence, where we discover the true nature of each and every Belko employee.

Gunn is producing with Peter Safran. We’ll clue you in more on this one as soon as we get it!
