Much like the recent STD release of THE BOOGEYMAN 2, I think this is just a chance for Ghost House to make a quick buck on DVD… as there is no demand for a continuation of THE MESSENGERS story by anyone.
STYD scored the inside scoop on who will be directing the flick – Martin Barnewitz. Unless you’re from Germany, you probably haven’t heard of him before – but he’s currently in top talks to make his American directorial debut with this piece. Oh yeah – there’s even a storyline all worked out for it – check it out: John Rollins struggles to save his farm and hold his family together. After placing a mysterious scarecrow in his field his luck seems to change for the better, but in return may cost his sanity.
Ugh. While no casting has been made yet (as they’re just sorting out the director’s spot), it’s hard to say for sure, but I can be almost certain that Kristen Stewart, Dylan McDermott, and Penelope Ann Miller will NOT be returning for another go-round. Oh boy, I can’t wait…
