Because you demanded it (?), Michael Bay’s THE ISLAND is making its way to Blu-ray this summer. The film is probably more notable for being a tremendous box office flop than anything else (it made $35 million domestically), but I suppose anytime you get a chance to see Scarlett Johansson in HD there are rewards to be mined. It’s just all of the other nonsense that injures your senses…

The film, which also stars Ewan McGregor (in a dual role; he’s bad in both), Steve Buscemi, Djimon Honsou and Sean Bean, hits Blu-ray on JUNE 21st, just a few weeks before Bay’s latest masterwork, TRANSFORMERS 3.
