Michael C. Hall to lead Jim Mickle’s Cold in July

Jim Mickle’s long in development COLD IN JULY finally has liftoff; as we told you last week, the adaptation of Joe Lansdale’s revenge thriller has financing in place and is ready to burst forward. And it does just that today with the casting of Dexter himself, Michael C. Hall.

First, here’s a refresher on the plot of COLD IN JULY:

Hall will play Richard, the family man who finds his entire existence changed when he kills a vengeful ex-con’s son. 

Adapted by Mickle’s frequent collaborator Nick Damici (STAKE LAND) and Mickle, the film is being produced by Belladonna Productions’ Rene Bastian, Adam Folk, and Linda Moran.
