Michael K. Williams talks working with the Ghostbusters and Slimer

Although filming on director Paul Feig's reboot of GHOSTBUSTERS wrapped production way back in September, the project still remains largely shrouded in secrecy. Some light will be shed on it when the trailer premieres on March 3rd, but in the meantime one mystery has been solved. We now know what sort of character cast member Michael K. Williams is playing in the film.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Williams said,

I play the FBI agent who works for the mayor. Our whole thing is, we’re going to tell the people it was a flash in the sky and 'Run along little women with your ghosts, we got this.'"

Williams went on to describe working on GHOSTBUSTERS as a "dream job", singing the praises of the actresses who play the ghostbusting team in this film; Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Melissa McCarthy.

The actor also not only confirmed that iconic GHOSTBUSTERS character Slimer will be appearing in Feig's new take on the concept, as has long been rumored, but revealed that he worked directly with that famous green ghost.

I got to work with Slimer, dude. Like Slimer! I'm in a scene with Slimer! I’m a huge Ghostbusters fan and it was a dream come true."

Williams and Slimer's scene together will be playing out on theatre screens when GHOSTBUSTERS is released on July 15th.
