Michael Keaton dishes Beetlejuice 2 update, he’s in as long as…

It's been a few months since last hearing a word on the BEETLEJUICE 2 front, but with the great Michael Keaton out promoting ROBOCOP, all that changes today…

When speaking with MTV, the inevitable subject of the much-anticipated BEETLEJUICE sequel was broached. And you know what? While still in the preliminary stages, what Keaton had to say was quite promising. Peep it…

I've e-mailed Tim (Burton) a couple of times, talked to the writer a couple of times, but all really, really preliminary stuff…I always said that's the one thing I'd like to do again, if I ever did anything again. But it kind of required Tim to be involved some way or another."

Even more titillating, Keaton continued:

Now it looks like he (Tim) is involved…And without giving too much away we've talked to each other, and e-mailed each other, and if he's in, it's going to be hard not to be in."

I wholeheartedly agree. If BEETLEJUICE 2 has to be made, it can and should only be done so with Burton behind the camera and Keaton in front of it. Otherwise, what's the point?

How do you feel about it? This just mere musing from Keaton or do you think BEETLEJUICE 2 will actually get made at some point…with both Burton and Keaton?

Bring Back Winona!
