Mike White talks dogs

SCHOOL OF ROCK is generally accepted by all to be hilarious, and I thought NACHO LIBRE was pretty great too. I know it’s expected when Jack Black is involved and playing either a deranged failed rocker who abducts a classroom, or a priest that secretly moonlights as a wrestler, but someone had to come up with those scenarios and put the words in his mouth. And Mike White is that someone. He’s been responsible for – in addition to the aforementioned – ORANGE COUNTY and THE GOOD GIRL, and YEAR OF THE DOG marks his directorial debut.

Comingsoon has an exclusive interview with Mr. White about his new movie, which stars Molly Shannon (SERENDIPITY) as a woman whose life changes after the death of her beloved dog. Laura Dern (JURASSIC PARK), Regina King (DADDY DAY CARE) and Peter Sarsgaard (JARHEAD) also feature. Click HERE to be whisked away to the interview.
