Yeah, sorry about the title.
Those who attended the Festival of Fear this year got to see Tony Todd (CANDYMAN) talking about his future projects, one of which was for the Sci Fi Channel TV movie called MINOTAUR with Rutger Hauer. Other than that, there was really no other info to go on.
Well, over at the movie’s page at Sci Fi’s website, there’s a blurb about the film premiering on the channel March 11th at 9/8c, complete with CGI baddie, and Tony Todd with nosering (a la that dude from Sevendust). Filmed in and around Luxembourg, the story for the film (like the Greek myth) has a ruler who sacrifices five men and five women to the said beast every five years, until one year Theseus (one of the would-be victims) decides to fight back and end the madness.
No word on DVD status, but having Lionsgate as one of the financiers for the flick, that should give you enough clues as to who would be putting the disc out.
