I think it’s safe to say Alexandre Aja knows what he’s doing when it comes to horror. Some may say otherwise, but how can anyone argue with HIGH TENSION? Sure, it was a French flick and the chances of a hardcore movie like that being made in the US are slim to none, but we can hope right?
Well after HIGH TENSION, Aja’s been piling up projects. The only other flick he’s completed is THE HILLS HAVE EYES remake, but he’s got 3 flicks lined up: MIRRORS and remakes of SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT and PIRANHA.
Ammon last told you about MIRRORS here, where he told us about the official site going live. More like a teaser site actually. Well today we have some more news for MIRRORS. Fox dropped the release date today, which is August 15.
MIRRORS is about a mall security guard that becomes wrapped up in a mystery involving a particular department store’s mirrors which seem to bring out the worst in people. That actually sounds pretty cool. Especially when the cast includes Kiefer Sutherland, Paula Patton, Amy Smart (below), Jason Flemyng, and Ezra Buzzington.
As stated, Alexandre Aja will be directing with the duo of Aja and Gregory Levasseur writing the script. So MIRRORS hits theaters August 15. We’ll keep you updated on any more MIRRORS news.
