Monster Slayer caught

JoBloJoBlo

This year’s Sundance festival hasn’t exactly been aflame with big sales, but the smaller Slamdance seems to be full of genre treasures.

Anchor Bay has grabbed up the low-budget horror flick JACK BROOKS: MONSTER SLAYER, and will apparently give it at least a minimal theatrical release (likely similar to last year’s mayhem-loaded slasher HATCHET). The movie looks like a blast — it’s about a plumber (Trevor Matthews) with a beast-battling legacy, who finds himself fighting genre veteran Robert Englund, flailing tentacles, and various monsters in old-school latex makeup.
