SEVERANCE. Apparently the flick rocks pretty hard and director Chris Smith is usually given credit… but what about the script? If you think writer James Moran might have had something to do with the awesomeness of
SEVERANCE then you may be interested in GIRL NUMBER 9!
What is GIRL NUMBER 9 you might ask? Well it’s a web series penned by Moran based on a story by Moran and Dan Turner. The webisodes follow Vincent Boylan, who has just been arrested and is suspected of being the man behind the brutal murder of seven girls, but the team only have a limited time to get a confession out of him. If they can’t make him talk, he could slip through their fingers. Detective Matheson, who led the investigation, is sent in to try and get some answers. But things soon take a horrifying turn for the worse, as Matheson and his boss Lyndon are about to find out that all is not as it seems.
The series spans six episodes with Turner directing the first three and Moran tackling the last three. It stars Gareth David-Lloyd, Joe Absolom and Tracy-Ann Oberman (below).
