The folks over at Action-Figure.com posted today details on NECA‘s upcoming fifth line of figures in their Cult Classics line, which features Ash from ARMY OF DARKNESS, two variants of Jigsaw from SAW, another Leatherface variant from TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and Hannibal Lecter from SILENCE OF THE LAMBS.
Here’s the breakdown: Leatherface this time around includes his chainsaw, cleaver, mallet, some bones and a bloody base for his work. Medieval Ash features an alternate stretched head (3 books?!), boomst- er shotgun, Necronomicon and skeleton hand base. Jigsaw (pigface and John Kramer versions) features the puppet and tricycle. Last but not least is Hannibal, who has his trusty handcart and mask. While it seems that Leatherface and Ash win out on accessories, it’s kind of hard to think of many more for the other three figures. Ah well.
Another thing that bugs me is the release date, which originally was supposed to be around September, is now stated as being around Halloween. Man, that means I’ll be torn between the kickass new NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and TCM DVDs and these dudes. Madness! Click here for the slew of new pics for the figures.
