More Hell to Raise

This one goes out to all you HELLRAISER fans out there: the next 2 films in the series are both due out later this year, starting with HELLRAISER: DEADER, starring none other than Doug Bradley, returning as his role as the infamos Pinhead, in this direct to video sequel from director Rick Bota (HELLSEEKER). This one places a London reporter investigating the underground suicide cult known as the ‘Deaders’, and figures if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em as they prepare for the second coming. This one’s been slated for release numerous times over the last year, so let’s hope it’s not as horrid as the studio must obviously think it is.

Yes, I said there were 2 new HELLRAISER films coming out- HELLRAISER: HELLWORLD, also directed by Rick Bota, and starring Doug Bradley,and one of my all time favorites- Lance Henriksen(!) in this, the 8th film in the series. This time, a group of teenagers are obsessed with a website called hellworld.com, and are sucked into the world of HELLRAISER through the computer. Ah, the aftermath of FEAR DOT COM still influences cinema, and as I’ve said before, I hope this one doesn’t suck. All I know is that Lance is in it, and Lance makes even the biggest turd of a movie halfway redeemable (AvP). Although no release date set, HELLWORLD’s scheduled to be in your video store before the end of the year.
