More holiday horror as Krampus: The Christmas Devil heads to Cannes

It used to be the most wonderful time of the year, but now it seems that Christmas will be the most horrific of seasons as jolly ol' Saint Nick is taking a backseat to the Krampus, with RED STATE and TUSK director Kevin Smith bringing us the holiday horror ANTI-CLAUS and TRICK 'R TREAT's Michael Dougherty working on the horror comedy KRAMPUS. But there is a film headed to Cannes that will beat both of those films to the Krampus-flavored punch as ITN Distribution is taking Jason Hull's KRAMPUS: THE CHRISTMAS DEVIL to Cannes.

This film stars genre fave Bill Oberst, Jr. alongside Richard Goteri and A.J. Leslie and concerns…

“Jeremy, a local police officer, pieces together the truth and realizes that his childhood kidnapper could be a creature of ancient yuletide lore, Krampus, who is the brother of St. Nick, and punisher of children who perform acts of unspeakable evil without repercussion. Can Jeremy kill Krampus and prevent more missing children?”

You can check out the Cannes sales art for the flick below. It is also noteworthy that Hull is already at work on a sequel titled KRAMPUS: THE DEVIL RETURNS, which is set for release next year.

How many more Krampus-themed flicks will we see coming our way?
