After just that one story, PEACOCK has quickly become one of my most anticipated flicks. Now the reason I’m stoked isn’t for the twisted plot, which reads: Set in the small town of Peacock, Neb., a man with a split personality fools the town into believing that his two alter-egos are man and wife. Along the way there’s a struggling young mother who sparks a battle between the personalities.
No, what got me hooked was the two leads they already have signed up for this one. Those two names are the great Cillian Murphy and Ellen Page (below). Considering these two know a thing or two about acting, I can’t wait to see them tackle that premise.
Well we’ve finally got some more news coming from Variety today dealing with PEACOCK. We’ve got a trio of names to join the cast plus a different view of the plot.
Here’s the new premise we’re given from Variety: A quiet bank clerk’s (Murphy) life is shattered by a train crashing into his back yard revealing a woman living there. Seems a bit off from the synopsis above, but I can see the two molding into one.
The new names to join the movie are Josh Lucas (above), Susan Sarandon, and Bill Pullman. I can’t wait for this one. Michael Lander is directing with a script he co-wrote with Ryan Roy.
