It’s been awhile since we’ve heard anything coming from Peter Jackson’s upcoming flick THE LOVELY BONES, so color me stoked to report that there’s more casting news to be had today, featuring a couple of young Kiwis cast in somewhat large roles!
First up is Rose McIver (pictured), who is the murdered girl’s big sister, and Carolyn Dando, a friend of the dead girl’s boy friend. Not bad casting, not bad at all (i.e., McIver here’s a looker)! I mean, given it’s other star power (Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, and Ryan Gosling) the new cast is somewhat anti-climatic, but at least Jackson was cool enough to cast some locals of New Zealand, considering that’s where a lot of the filming will take place.
Filming is set to begin next month, so stick around for more news and updates on THE LOVELY BONES as we hear it!
