Yesterday we were treated to 2 new clips from the upcoming horror flick THE MESSENGERS, and as the film opens next Friday, I had a good feeling that it wouldn’t be the last set of clips we’d see before it hits theaters. Damnit, I love it when I’m right.
Today’s clip comes courtesy of Yahoo!Movies, and yet again features the lovely Kristen Stewart and her little brother that, despite being like 3 years old, somehow isn’t scared that they’re house is being torn apart and terrorized by a bunch of scary ass ghosts. In fact, I think he likes it.
The CLIP offers more meat than the ones we saw yesterday, and at first I thought it’d swing my take on the film, as it appears to be pretty flippin’ scary, but damnit… this kid… who’s not afraid of any of this weird shit… it’s just not working for me. The clip actually has a slight POLTERGEIST feel to it… except that Carol Anne and Robbie were absolutely terrified, i.e. making the audience terrified along with them.
We’ll just have to wait to see how it turns out next week, though I have a feeling I might have to just ‘wait for DVD’ on this one… but we’ll see. THE MESSENGERS hits theaters everywhere February 2nd.
