Currently filming in Weirton, West Virginia is J.J. Abrams’ clandestine new project SUPER 8. About two weeks ago we jabbed a handful of set photos at you, and today’s round two (thanks to Unfiction). Nothing overly dramatic or enthralling, but at least a bigger picture you’ll get of Lillian, Ohio – the fictional town the film takes place in.
On display this time around is a rental car joint, a grocery store, a restaurant, a steel mill and a bookstand. Try to contain yourselves, please…
We also catch a glimpse of a one of those kooky “Rocket Poppeteers,” this time in the form of a cardboard grocery store cutout.
Sated for a summer-ish 2011 release, SUPER 8 stars Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler, Amanda Michalka, Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Gabriel Basso, Zach Mills, Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths and Ryan Lee.
