Last week I gave you all a treat in the form of a couple character prequel videos from Jim Mickle’s STAKE LAND. You guys remember that? The STAKE LAND goods have been coming at us pretty fast so it’s understandable if you’re having a hard time keeping up.
Now regardless if you caught those first two videos last week today you’ve got the chance to check out character prequel videos three and four! Natch! Courtesy of Apple, where you’ll find high def versions of the videos, we’ve got two more character prequel videos. This time the vids highlight Michael Cerveris’ ‘Jebediah’ and Sean Nelson’s ‘Willie.’ Directed by Larry Fessenden and Danielle Harris respectively. Scope out what Fessenden had to say regarding these character prequels:
“”The idea was to invite some of our favorite directors to contribute to the mythology of Stake Land. Each brought their own sensibility to the world that Nick Damici and Jim Mickle created in the feature. And the actors were very gracious to work on these mini-films on their days off during the shoot, lending their talents to directors they didn’t even know. It was a tribute to their commitment and their affection for Stake Land.”

America is a lost nation. When an epidemic of vampirism strikes, humans find themselves on the run from vicious, feral beasts. Cities are tombs and survivors cling together in rural pockets, fearful of nightfall. When his family is slaughtered, young Martin is taken under the wing of a grizzled, wayward hunter whose new prey are the undead.
Simply known as Mister, the vampire stalker takes Martin on a journey through the locked-down towns of America’s heartland, searching for a better place while taking down any bloodsuckers that cross their path. Along the way they recruit fellow travellers, including a nun who is caught in a crisis of faith when her followers turn into ravenous beasts. This ragtag family unit cautiously moves north, avoiding major thoroughfares that have been seized by The Brethren, a fundamentalist militia headed by Jebedia Loven that sees the plague as the Lord’s work.
Danielle Harris (below), Connor Paolo, Nick Damici and Kelly McGillis all join Cerveris and Nelson in the vampire romp, which is due to come our way starting April 22nd! That’s tomorrow in case you weren’t following along.
