Bring Kombat home
The audience and critics’ response to Mortal Kombat II was pretty positive after the reception of the 2021 film. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a runaway hit at the box office with The Devil Wears Prada 2 being a formidable challenger. I enjoyed the film with an initial lukewarm reception, but it has grown on me quite a bit more over time (with multiple viewings included), so here’s hoping there’s still a chance for a Mortal Kombat 3.
Warner Bros. is preparing for the home video releases of the video game adaptation. On June 9, Mortal Kombat II will be available at home on participating digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and more. Then, on July 28, Mortal Kombat II will be available to own on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD from online and physical retailers. Mortal Kombat II will also continue to be available in high definition and standard definition from participating digital retailers.
