Whoa mama! It looks like this MOTHER’S DAY remake is nicely moving along at full steam. I’m very surprised (and delighted) at how well this proposal is being received and that SAW veteran and REPO creator, Darren Lynn-Bousman, is standing proudly beind the camera. Hopefully, there will be no super sped up sequences.
Now, it appears that we have ourselves an official synopsis for the flick. First have a look, then we’ll discuss: Three brothers on the run from the law head for home, only to discover that their mother lost the house in a foreclosure. Mother ingeniously orchestrates her sons’ escape, teaching the house’s new owners and their guests a few lessons along the way.
Now, as those of you who’ve already seen the original know, this synopsis does differ a tad from the 1980 version. And to be honest, that’s fine with me. The ’80 incarceration definitely comes off as a tad dated when watched today (not that it detracts from any of the fun). So I’m glad that Mr. Darren is sheparding this thing through with the kind of serious respect any remake should deserve. Shooting starts next month, so be prepared for lots more info soon!
