With the end of a news day cycle comes an opportunity to mine some unheralded gems. How precious the gems turn out to be over time is another story altogether. So here I am, winding down an otherwise slow news day when I happened upon an entertaining trailer for a silly sounding flick entitled LEGEND OF MOUNTAIN WITCH.
Not to be confused with the kiddy flick starring The Rock (RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN), LOMW is a sub $1 million budgeted spook-fest written by Michael McPhillips and directed by Alex Ryan. It stars Charles Cyphers, Eileen Dietz, and Eugene Clark. The film is set up at Catch 22 Entertainment.
As far as story premise goes, this one’s quite simple:
A film crew seeks to uncover the truth about a legendary witch. They go to the mountains to see if she is a legend, or if she’s just a woman killing people she doesn’t like.
My guess is the chick is both!
