Avengers assemble on new Vanity Fair covers for Infinity War

Good morning, fellow movie nerds and dweebs. Did you get a nice helping of turkey and such last week? Did a go out on Black Friday and get stuff for yourself but not your family? Good, because this week is getting a marvelous kick-off to keep the good vibes going with a brand-new look at the upcoming superhero indie flick, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR. Several members of the gang are here on four new Vanity Fair covers, which could kick off a week of reveals for the new movie. Can you just feel the holiday magic in the air?

The first cover features Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson). Hemsworth is looking slightly different than how the events of THOR: RAGNAROK left him, but I think that’s to keep things spoiler free for those who haven’t seen the flick.

The next shows Vision (Paul Bettany), Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans), Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), James Rhodes/War Machine (Don Cheadle), and Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly).

Next is Bruce Banner/Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), T’Challa/Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd).

The final cover features Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow, for some reason), Peter Quill/Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), and Stephen Strange/Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch)

The covers give a great look at the characters comes the new movie, which before we only saw in some Comic-Con art. There a lot of new costume changes going around, with the notable differences being the hair. Widow, Hawkeye, Cap and perhaps Witch (though it may be the lighting) are all sporting some new ‘dos.

But, wait, there’s more! Though not everyone made it on the covers, the rest of the gang made into the portfolio, including Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, and the cast of BLACK PANTHER. All the amazing photos were taken by Jason Bell and stylized by Jessica Diehl:
