Disney unveils adorable poster for Christopher Robin ahead of trailer debut

Ahead of Tuesday's trailer reveal, Walt Disney Studios has revealed a delightful poster for their upcoming movie CHRISTOPHER ROBIN.

According to the House of Mouse,  the young boy who embarked on countless adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with his band of spirited and lovable stuffed animals, has grown up and lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin remember the loving and playful boy who is still inside.

Christopher Robin is stuck in a job where he is overworked, underpaid and facing an uncertain future. He has a family of his own, but his work has become his life, leaving little time for his wife and daughter, and he has all but forgotten his idyllic childhood spent with a simple-minded, honey-loving stuffed bear and his friends. But when he is reunited with Winnie the Pooh, now tattered and soiled from years of hugs and play, a spark is rekindled, and he is reminded of the endless days of childlike wonder and make believe that defined his youth, when doing nothing could be considered something. Following an unfortunate mishap with Christopher Robin’s briefcase, Pooh and the rest of the gang including Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger, step out of the forest and into London to return the crucial possessions…because best friends will always be there for you.

Hmm, am I the only one getting Steven Spielberg's HOOK vibes from this plot synopsis? Regardless of aspects of the film sounding a touch familiar, Disney's CHRISTOPHER ROBIN will aim to please both children as well as adults when all of the lovable characters from Winnie the Pooh creator A. A. Milne's imaginative world comes to life on the big screen.

You can check out the new poster for the film below:

Starring in the role of an adult Christopher Robin will be Ewan McGregor, who will be joined by AGENT CARTER's Haley Atwell as Evelyn, Robin's wife. Mark Gatiss will also star as Christopher Robin's hardened boss, Giles Winslow. Providing the voices of the animals in the film are Jim Cummings as Winnie the Pooh, Chris O'Dowd as Tigger, Nick Mohammed as Piglet, Brad Garrett as Eeyore, Peter Capaldi as Rabbit, Sophie Okonedo as Kanga, and Toby Jones as Owl.

CHRISTOPHER ROBIN, as directed by Marc Forste from a script penned by Allison Schroeder (HIDDEN FIGURES), will come bouncing into theaters on August 3rd. Be sure to check back tomorrow when the first official trailer for the film goes live!

Extra Tidbit: Oh wow, Peter Capaldi as Rabbit is such a perfect casting choice. I think I'll be seeing this one. I adored Winnie the Pooh when I was a child. I suspect this one will hit me right in the feels.
