Rian Johnson’s sci-fi time travel actioner, LOOPER, has debuted a new international trailer today and it looks pretty damn sweet. If you were already excited to see the Joseph Gordon-Levitt/Bruce Willis pic, then this will simply amp you up a bit more.

Get Back to the Future:

Obviously, this features way more footage than we’ve seen before and a hell of a lot more story. It’s also the first time we’ve heard Willis speak. I think the dynamic between Gordon-Levitt and Willis playing the same character just at different points in time has the potential to be really cool.

Johnson seems to have crafted a fun, trippy sci-fi/action flick and it’s probably the first time I’ve been excited for a Bruce Willis movie in a long time. Plus, it’s great to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt get the chance to lead a film, which he’s more than proven in the last few years with some truly great roles.

Here’s the synopsis:

In the year 2042, a mob hitman (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) assassinates targets that arrive from the future of 2072. For him it’s just a job… till he receives a new target: himself from the future (Bruce Willis).

LOOPER stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt, Jeff Daniels, Paul Dano, and Piper Parabo and is set for release on September 28, 2012.
