Should Aaron Sorkin write the Steve Jobs biopic?

We reported a while back around the time Steve Jobs died that Aaron Sorkin was being considered to write a biopic of the late tech pioneer. Now that’s progressed a little further, and Sorkin is seriously considering the film as his next project.

“Sony has asked me to write the movie and it’s something I’m strongly considering. It’s a really big movie and it’s going to be a great movie no matter who writes it.”

Sorkin would seem to be a pretty good fit for the project, as he’s the one who took a movie about something relatively boring, starting a website, and made it crackle as one of the most exciting movies of the year, even without any action scenes at all.

Could he do the same with Apple and Steve Jobs, or is this too similar to THE SOCIAL NETWORK for him? Even if that is the case, I think he just might be the best man for the job. But who will be his Eisenberg this time?
