Han Solo returns in the new teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

5 months ago saw the release of the teaser for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, and despite the lack of any original trilogy characters, the preview was met with excitement and optimism for what's to come. That rush of adrenaline that can only be felt with the flyby of an X-Wing or the hum of a lightsaber was all fans needed to know that a new Star Wars film was in good hands. We've waited long enough and finally the second teaser trailer is here, giving us a few more glimpses into what's going on 30 years after the events of RETURN OF THE JEDI. Without further ado, here is the second teaser trailer for J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS.

Here's some shots from the new teaser:

Ever since production began on THE FORCE AWAKENS, J.J. Abrams promised that he would make good on fans of the original films who were let down with the prequel trilogy. A richer story, along with well-drawn characters and an apt use of computer imagery are more than apparent in this latest look into a galaxy far, far away. No one wants to go through THE PHANTOM MENACE again, but it's impossible not to get excited at the prospect of another great story told in this space opera. This summer may belong to Marvel, but at the end of 2015, a real Star Wars movie looks to back on the big screen where it belongs. It's about damn time!

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, starring John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Harrison Ford, Adam Driver, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Lupita Nyong'o, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, and Gwendoline Christie, hits theaters on December 18, 2015.
