Based on her autobiography, Silence of the North follows the journey of Olive Frederickson, wife of a trapper in Northern Alberta and the NW Territories of Canada. Her story of survival in the wild, loss of her husband, and fierce determination to raise her three small children takes many twists and turns between 1919 and the Depression era.
