Growing up in the 80s, one could say I was a fan–no, make that a BIG fan–of Mr. T. Who wasn’t? He was badass, he had a mohawk, he had fun and catchy lines you could spout off to your friends. Hell, the dude even had his own Saturday morning cartoon show! But that was in the 80s. Now, Mr. T is in comic books, and he’s fighting fools left and right in the comic series MR. T VERSUS… And who’s he fighting now? None other than DRACULA himself!
That’s right. MR. T VS DRACULA. Some say they saw it coming a mile away; others, like my self, would have never even thought of doing something so ridiculous. But I’m not in comic book publishing, so what the hell do I know, right?
Released through the UK’s Mohawk Media, MR. T VS DRACULA was written by Christopher Bunting and illustrated by J.L. Czerniawski. To see the level of tongue and cheek this series has (it is Mr. T, remember), Mr. T is apparently already talking smack and had the following to say about Dracula (from the pages within the comic, no less): All these suckers with their fancy powers! They need a reality check, and only one guy can do that, and that’s me, Mr. T! Ain’t no difference if they’re a vampire, a dinosaur, a mutant, if they’re doing wrong, then it needs Mr. T to set things straight with a swift right!
Would you expect anything less coming from Mr. T? I should hope not. Who do you think will win? Muscles and a mohawk or the blood sucking leader of the undead?
