Mutant Imago

So what the hell is an IMAGO exactly? Maybe I’m just a dumbass, but I had to look it up. Apparently, it’s a part of bug terminology and describes when an insect reaches its adult stage and is therefore able to reproduce. Now, after perusing the plot, I can see where this new chiller flick from director Douglas Buck (SISTERS) got its name. Fango also got some pretty intense pics from the film’s teaser trailer (above and below). The plot for THE BROKEN IMAGO evolves like this:

It’s about a nature-born sickness that causes horrible deformities and the strange transformation of children on a remote island.

So it’s another one of those “freaky island mutant kids” deals. Oh yeah, and there must be some kind of insect thing going on too. And from the look of some of those pics, I’m thinking we’re going to be in for some fun, freaky shite! The only question is “when?”

Well, IMAGO’s studio, Metaluna Productions, is currently seeking co-financiers and distributors. The flick’s first teaser and first poster will soon be visible on Metaluna’s website here.
