Wherever it came from, it’s here now.. and I’m here to tell you all about it! Apparently Myriad will be debuting the first trailer with film footage to buyers next week at the Festival with the hopes of scoring some bites. My guess is they will. Want the rundown on this little diddy? Of course you do.
The film is the story of a serial killer who kidnaps a 9-year-old boy. Now a teenager, the boy learns the only way to survive is by following in the killer’s footsteps. He must make his move to escape before he becomes like the monster that now considers himself his father.
Sounding pretty intense so far, right? Now the kicker here are the stars of this psychological thriller – Vincent D’Onofrio, Eamon Farren and Julia Ormond (below). Oh yeah, D’Onofrio will be playing the serial killer. Natch!
It seems Anchor Bay Films already have the US rights for CHAINED and are planning on dropping it sometime in Spring 2012. Damian O’Donnell penned the script with other cast including Gina Phillips and Jake Webber. Myriad CEO Kirk D’Amico said the following regarding the pick-up:
“Chained is one of the most terrifying scripts I have ever read. It delivers pure, raw terror – the experience core audiences around the world crave and can’t be faked. I think Jennifer Lynch is the perfect director to realize this material and Myriad Pictures is proud to be in business with her. We look forward to working with Jennifer and Lee, David, Rhonda and our friends at Anchor Bay.”
